  • Ice Show Costume Measurements

    Preparations for this years ice show are well underway and at this point most CanSkaters have been measured during their regular sessions.

    For any skaters not measured the seamstress will be available Saturday February 23rd from 9am - 12pm in the Glacier Rink 1 Viewing Room to take measurements. That date will also be the final date to pass in completed registration forms and make payments. EMT payments can be made to mppscreg@gmail.com

    ⛸️The Mount Pearl-Paradise Skating Club would like to send Abby Pace and Katie Slaney Good Luck wishes as they head off to represent TEAM NL at the 2019 Canada Winter Games taking place in Red Deer, Alberta.

    Abby Pace is a grade 11 student at Holy Heart High School. She is excited to be travelling to Red Deer to compete in the Pre-Novice Women’s category. Abby has had a great season so far winning the 2018 Skate Canada NL Sectional Championships where she earned her spot on the 2019 Canada Games Team.     Following a gold medal performance at the Elizabeth Swan Memorial Synchro Skate in Clarenville, NL last weekend, along with being the inaugural winners of the Fitzpatrick’s Feather, the Mount Pearl-Paradise Open Starlites synchro team win the Atlantic Canadian Regional Championships.

    The Regional Synchronized Skating Championships are held annually in five regions across the country. Each Region is made up of Sections specific to their geographical location.   • Fitzpatrick's Feather Award 2019

    Congratulations to Open Starlites, winners of the inaugural Fitzpatrick’s Feather donated by long time volunteer Dale Russell Fitzpatrick.

    This award will be presented annually to the team with the highest overall average of GOE (Grade of Execution) in the Elizabeth Swan Memorial Synchro Skate.

  • Schedule changes Jan 26th and 27th

    With most skaters away this weekend attending synchro there are some schedule changes to be aware of as follows:

    Sat Glacier - Jr/Int combined session 9-10:20 (no Jr or Int session on their own) followed by Canskate (anyone not on synchro are asked if they can to stay and help on Canskate)

    Sat Paradise - Sr is in 2 parts, 3:30-4:20 and then 5:20-6:20. Canskate from 4:20-5:10 and those on Sr and not synchro asked to please help on the Canskate

    Sun Paradise - Int is moved to 9:30-10:30 followed by Canskate (anyone not on synchro are asked to help on Canskate) and then rest of day is normal sched...
